15mm spacers for Panamera

Iam not aware of some specific rules for lug nuts (bolts), but you want each bolt to engage into the threading several threads deep. For me, I like to see at least 15mm or bit more than half inch deep into threading, to give me good peace of mind that the bolts are seated well and will not slip out. If you loosen the oem lug nut then put it into hole without trying to screw it in, you will see how much it sticks out, and that will give you a good idea what the designers wanted to have in terms of peace of mind. Hope this helps.

Hi Ciaka,
original lug bolt + 15mm spacer. I get it now. The american tire just provided the quote for michelin pilot sport as plus 4 seasons , $1.7K out of the door for 20" wheel 255/40/r20 and 295/35/r20.
thanks, buddy.

Torque specs would remain the same at 118ft/lbs for 44mm shank bolts at least. Dealer shop told me so, I dont think there would be need to change that.

Did anyone buy spacer from https://www.suncoastparts.com/catego...SISSPACER.html ? I'm thinking 7mm all around for my turbo2 wheels. I see turbo2 20" wheel with 7mm rear and 5mm front instead of 15mm all around from http://www.insanegarage.com/panamera...rs-size-guide/
Greatly appreciated for your feedback.

I have 15mm spacers on all 4 corners with my Turbo II wheels. No problems whatsoever. I bought aftermarket hubcentric spacers with longer lug bolts.
Turbo II wheels and RS Spyder wheels have the same offsets (front 65, rear 68). 15mm spacers should work perfectly for both these wheels and will keep the tire “flush” with the fender. Panamera Sport wheels have a rear offset of 63 (front is still the same at 65) so might be able to go 20mm spacer on the rear to achieve the same flush look. I don’t know the offsets on the other 970 OEM wheels (Sport Classic and Turbo III wheels).

I have the sport wheels and have been contemplating this purchase myself. If I’m wrong someone please let me know...
Thanks!

My panamera came with optional 7mm spacers from Factory. In my view. I could not even tell they were there. That is why I went with 15mn all around. For perfect look.

[QUOTE=ez1973;4803417]Good info, but I think you’re explaining it backwards. A wheel with a 63 offset will actually stick out 5mm further than one with a 68 offset, so to achieve the same “flush” look you would only need a 10mm spacer, not a 20mm spacer.

Hey ez! I think you’re right about 10mm (not 15mm) on the rears for the Panamera Sport Wheels. I was wondering about that after I posted. Thanks for clarifying!

The OEM spacers the car came with were actually 5mm, but 7mm is additional thickness of a toothpick. So yes, once on the car, you cannot even tell there are spacers on there. Not sure why Porsche made those as options.
Once 15mm were installed, the difference was very apparent. Filled the wheel well in nicely without looking like you drive an ATV.
