Tinting tail light lenses? Clue me in
tint
Two common ways to do it:
1 - use tinted film and cover tailights with it
2 - spray tint over tailights
Film (even pre-cut) is available in variety of tints. Can remove if needed. Can't comment on durability.
Spray requires more careful work. Removing tail light is recommended. Can apply as light or dark as desired, but difficult to change/remove if it's not to your liking. Best done by pro.
The tint shop I use recommended spray over film.
He thought spray looked better.
I had mine sprayed and then a PPF applied over it.
I like it...came out darker than I wanted, but visibility of tail lights at night still seem to be good.
