i told mechanic to check the AOS so they will test it, i also remember that before my spark plugs had some oil residue in the threads and that is also a symptom of a failing AOS correct?

did your car have any other symptoms besides the high oil consumption when it failed for you? i also notice a bit more than normal tailpipe smoke when at idle or when reversing.

if there is oil in the intake manifold does that mean the AOS needs to be replaced?

Yes, same vacuum as yours. I changed my AOS but still have the same vacuum as in your video. Could it be something else causing the big vacuum?

Just wondering - when doing this test (oil cap off) is it normal for the engine to run very rough once the cap is off? I recently replace my AOS which improved my idle and oil consumption but I've noticed the rough idle is back and I am starting to think my new AOS has already failed.

Hey, when I don`t use my Cayenne 958 turbo for one week or longer, I get blue smoke (burned oil) out of the exhaust after startup. Everything else is running fine, no codes, no excessive oil consumption.

I also noticed a strong vacuum in the crank case – removing the oil cap with engine running is very hard.

I checked the membrane in the PCV – but no visible damage. Nevertheless, I replaced the whole PCV unit by a VAICO unit, but nothing changed. I still have this strong vacuum in the crank case.

Here my video:

Any idea?
