Porsche Gasoline Additive review

hey all, i just picked up some Porsche branded gasoline additive. its a small 100ml bottle, ill report back if i notice any differences in using before i fill up, its over 20 dollars per bottle so quite a bit more than the techron stuff

Yes please let us know. However, I believe if you use the highest octane from a premium supplier, like Shell, you don't need any gas additive.

What is the additive supposed to do any way?

i used a bottle few days ago havent noticed anything significant

Gas additives (not octane booster) are like fuel detergent additives that are in Top Tier Gas brands. The additives help to address carbon build up on the intake valves. Discussed elsewhere regarding carbon build up on intake valves, Panamera has Direct Gas Fuel Injection (DGFI) in which the fuel is injected directly into the cylinder and after the intake valves. The fuel additives provide little or no benefit for DGFI engines.

ah i see dude, do you think carbon buildup would lead to more exhaust fumes from the tailpipes?

Carbon build up on the intake is unlikely to be related to exhaust smoke. As carbon builds up on the intake, it restrict airflow and affects/reduces power.
