Panamera Interior rear hatch button
Hi all,
my door rear hatch button seems to only work when the engine is on - not when it’s off.
This is different than my 2013 Cayenne which works at all time.
I looked at all the settings and don’t see anything.
Any advice welcome.

From what I remember, the interior hatch open button works for me when car is on, or when car is off but key in acc position (power on but no engine start).
Also, this button only works for me to open the hatch, not to close it. Wonder if that is normal, or if my close function needs attention (replacing switch assembly).

If that is the case, must mean my button assembly is defective in some way. Would love another reply with confirmation, before I go off buying a master switch assembly to replace.

Mine works as most have described. Only opens the hatch with the key on, does nothing to close it.
In other words, only works when you wouldn't need it and doesn't do what you would most want it do. Nice engineering.
2010 S, no fancy keyless operation option.

BMW X5 US version needs coding to allow inside button and remote to close rear hatch. Something to do with safety issues. I used the Carly app to re-code my X5. Maybe (I'm guessing) the Pan needs to be coded as well to allow this..? Anyone who has experience coding the Pan? A phone app perhaps?

Hi. I have a 2014 4S with Entry and Drive. My button works as others have described - will open the hatch when car is on or key is turned but ignition off. Will not work when vehicle is off. FYI...you can close the hatch using the button but you have to press and hold the button until the hatch is fully closed.
