JB's 996 is infamous around these parts
RDR142, your car is looking, and sounding great! the tinted tail lights turned out awesome!
I could use some pointers on how you plasti dip the emblems, I'm having a hard time with the Panamera GTS portion, pealed it off a couple of times as I don't seem to be doing it right... got the PORSCHE emblem done... thanks!

interesting.... the main advice i would give is to have patience. i actually had to do mine twice due to detail shop taping off emblems when ceramic coating the car and obviously the tape pulled the pastidip off. i have some pics of process in earlier pages of this thread that may be helpful but i can say on the second go around, i even let it sit overnight due to starting the process later in the day/evening. not sure what color you are using but i found that metallic colors left little specs of metal flake on paint when peeled. due to that, i sprayed a solid white base coat prior to any color. it also helped brighten the red a bit. i would say i had 3-4 good coats applied with ample drying/curing time in between (30-45min). the smaller lettering and voids in the panamera section are a bit tricky and i had to use the tip of exacto knife or pick to get edge started but i stress not to rush it and be extremely careful not to let blade touch paint. sometimes had to pull plastidip in different directions to get it to split from emblem.

Flo also has some pics and instructions on his thread '13 panamera gts journal i think that may help as well.

good luck and hope it turns out well for you. looking forward to seeing successful pics

So awesome man. Quick question about the Fabspeed xpipe, not sure if you answered it, but now that I'm sure you've driven it at varying speeds/rpm, have you noticed any drone at all?

i never have any drone.... just aggressive beastly sound to satisfy your senses. Have zero complaints about the fabspeed x-pipe and sound. never any discomfort or annoying drone. i get compliments all the time on the sound especially when you start the car and peoples head snap around, then you see them smile and grin because they are not expecting the rawness.

i usually ride with cruise control on interstate at varyious speeds and no sign of drone ever. i've taken it on several long road trip to Delaware, Florida and WV and still never a sense of drone.

Damnit. Now you've got me really interested in the xpipe. Unlike the less expensive alternatives where you have pays welded in, I assume this is legit bolt in with no cutting of the stock setup?

I dunno - I like my Pano to be deadly silent. It's a refreshing contrast to my two Camaro's - one is a 71 with a 520hp 406, the other is a 2016 with the new LT1 - 455hp and both have MagnaFlow mufflers.

Well won't the Pan with the sport exhaust be a bit quieter when the valves are closed?

Yes, it is very civilized with the flaps closed. i rarely have flaps closed because it sounds so good open but if you want quiet, peaceful ride then you have that option with flaps closed.

Hey RDR142, she is looking good!!! not yet! bought another can of plastidip and will be trying soon, need to spend some time at taking all the reminder from the previous application off, I also have a couple of GTS badges and a rear diffuser to install, but haven't found the time... work!
I'll post a pic or two once I have finished with the emblem and installation of the badges and diffuser... thanks!
