Brake Squeak at low speed

I had the windows down today and noticed brake squeak when driving slow; should I be worried? I understand brake squeak is normal for Porsche's, but I thought that meant when applying the brake, not just driving slow.

Its normal. It doesn't mean you need new brakes or pads, but you should still check them to know where you are at. Keeping them clean and washing your wheels often helps. Some people get pad types that are less noisy by design.

I don't think that is normal, you shouldn't be hearing any squeal if the brakes aren't on, sounds like a caliper isn't retracting when you let off the brakes and is dragging.

Agree with Dog - if you arent applying any pressure whatsoever thenthey should not be rubbing. If they are, could be something wrong with the pistons not retracting fully?

When you drive slow or when you're braking at very low speeds? There shouldn't be any noise unless you're applying the brakes.

Even a small amount of pressure at low speeds will commonly cause squeaking on most performance cars. My RS7 was the worst car about that!
