How low is low?

Realize this has been discussed in the past, however, as many of you have had a chance to build up some miles, I thought I'd ask just how bad is the clearence of the CGT in the front? I've got a steep driveway that I can get up in a 575, but haven't tried in anything as low as a GT2. Been considering a CGT, but would hate to park it on the street every night. (could you imagine?)

The 959 gets up fine even without raising it, though it is fun to raise it.

it's pretty low. it all depends upon the steepness of the transition from your street to your driveway. best thing would be to find someone in your area with one to see if (s)he wouldn't mind trying it with theirs for you.

Dean,

If you'd like call me and we can try out the clearance on the GT2 to get an idea.

The Carrera GT is a hell of a car. I rode in Ben's and my perception of cars changed forever. It was even better than I imagined it to be.

mod the driveway if the car does not clear. Can't cost to much considering the cars you are talking about...

That's what I did for my GT3...and I don't even own the place, made the landlord do it.

As you may know the CGT has 3.5" of clearance. I have a steep driveway and I can clear exiting only after placing a couple of 2 X 4's near the curb. I can avoid this hassle by seriously angling the car out the driveway, but this takes some engine reving (and attention getting), which I personally think sends the wrong message .

Upon entering the driveway there is no problem with clearance as it is an uphill angle. So it's great to come home and swoop right in.

Ironically what this minor problem has done for me is highlight the structural problems with the driveway. I knew it needed replacement or resurfacing, because of unsightly cracks and defects (10 yrs old). Now I'm having the whole area re-landscaped. When I had my 996 TT X-50 with aero kit I did not mind it scraping the driveway, but now I figure if all the cars I'm getting are low (or will be) I'd might as well change and enjoy this time in my life.

And by the way the car is phenomenal. Approaching 950 miles
