Panamera Turbo S PTTS Owners
Not to put this particular Panamera on the pedestal or anything, but do you find yourself reluctant to drive it? ...since it's not that common to see a Panamera Turbo S 970 or 971, at least not around here. It's not exactly much different from the standard Turbo either.
It's not even the new 971, far from being brand spanking new and 7-8yrs old actually. I had all the intentions on DD-ing it when I was buying it, but so far it just ended up being a garage queen and trying to preserve the car and miles on it. I feel it's more expected with say...a Porsche 911 to be a garage queen?
I don't know, maybe it's just me being stupid
, haha.

I share my daily driving between my 970.2 PTTS and my 987.2 Cayman S. I love them both and enjoy every mile in each of them. I didn't buy either of these cars to save them for the next guy. I bought them for the driving experience. I'm certainly not interested in a status symbol or something to garner attention. They are well maintained and kept in like new cosmetic condition, but they are driven regularly. My cars are going to depreciate if they are driven or not. So get some enjoyment out of the driving experience while you are paying the depreciation. I also feel they are more reliable when driven regularly. If I wanted a car to keep in the garage and only drive on the occasional perfect weather Sunday (and not put miles on), I'd have bought a Ferrari. They look a lot more dramatic parked in the garage and may even depreciate less if they aren't driven.
These are series production cars. They are not particularly rare and they are not historical artifacts. My suggestion is to apply paint protection film (and even windshield protection film) and enjoy what you paid for. There is to much joy to be had driving these cars to leave them sit. Porsche will always be making more.

We are blessed to be living in a time where PPF technology is available to protect our investments. Get out and drive!
exactly. Ppf and enjoy them. I do not dd my ptt but still use it often. Letting cars sit is not great for them unless specific long-term storage prep is taken but hey, these aren't museum pieces and porsches are meant to be driven. (i.e. Magnus walker)

I would agree. If you buy it then save in garage, car will depreciate and before you know it, you sell it for lower price, and never got to enjoy it.
Maintenance is critical, but if you maintain, you will have a reliable car for sure.
I enjoy mine every day I drive it. Good luck to y'all.

Agreed !!! I drive my pan everyday and enjoy it. I drove SF-LA last weekend on 5 and 101. It was Great, quiet, smooth and streaming spotify music. CA 101 along the coast I could only drive 80 MPH, so many cops.

Such a phenomenal highway cruiser! Suede, Burmester, smooth ride, TORQUE, Akrapovic exhaust symphony. Every time I drive it's like falling in love again.
Definitely enjoy it - you dont get that time back! That's solely why I am doing what I want to do to my car - making it something I enjoy more and more every day as opposed to getting it ready for someone else to enjoy
My memory of 101 in Silicon Valley is comparable to driving the Panamera on a huge long piece of swiss cheese, without knowing where all the holes are.
...yes, and you get to use that PDCC all the time, having to swerve out of the way constantly.
Advice for anyone buying anything: If you choose to purchase something, then you place it into garage without using it, you are spending that money (either cash or loan), for the item to sit there. After few years, you will end up selling it, and you have barely used it.
You preserved the item for the next person, who gets to buy it at lower cost, and you end up the loser on both ends of this (spend more $ and use less of your property).

Most Porsche's outside of 911s are generally not and won't likely be "collectibles". While these are great cars and the turbo/turbo s will likely always be "special", I think the idea of garaging them for future appreciation is not a good use of the capital to spent on the car (to ciaka's point). The resale trend on these seems closer to cayman's or cayenne turbos than 911s.
IMHO Just drive them. Mine is not a turbo S, but I bought my turbo to drive it.
