New here from Boston have questions
1st post as a owner of a 2011 Panamera 4 62k miles! SO to start off I purchased this car for my son. Hhave always been a car enthusiast (Ferrari, BMW M serie, Mercedes AMG) I really like the Panamera and feel I made a great purchase for a starter enthusiast car for my son. The car needs very little condition is a 9 out of 10. The first issue to tackle is the car came with 18" Panamera wheels with Pirelli winter tires. Apparently (according to dealer) the previous owner had 21" wheels that he kept. My son wants to put on 22" wheels while I was thinking 20". We live ion Boston so roads are not great and explained to my son we dont want to fix wheels every week. The question is do i have to lower the car in order to make 22" wheels look good. The Panamera doesnt have height adjustment suspension. In the long run am I best putting 20" on? I do not want to touch the suspension. Thanks in advance. Since it is my sons car he will make final decisions but we would both like feed back.

Lots of info here on this wheel size subject - search is your friend.
In general, the 22's may look better but 20's will ride much better and the substantial sidewall increase will allow your son to drive the car on Boston roads w/ less chance of bending a rim. Get a good set w/ proper offsets and you won't be disappointed. Welcome aboard!

I have 22" on my turbo but turbos also have air suspension so I can keep the ride height dialed in. I would not suggest anything larger than 20" in Boston because I KNOW how terrible the roads are there! If you're not touching the suspension - 20"

I too am from Boston and run the OEM 20'' front and rear turbo wheels on my 2011 Panamera Turbo + 18/19 on my Viper. Both have Michelin PS, the Viper having the summer tires the Porsche with the all seasons - which are fantastic. The panamera has an amazing AWD system so I don't really see the need for a dedicated winter set - I will say you should be extremely cautious about lowering the car and running 22'' on the porsche - for potholes, clearance issues, the general quality of the road + winter driving conditions. I know a bit (unfortunately) about the air suspension and ways to lower it but if you do not have this I am not sure what your options are... IMO, I would look for a good set of used 20'' with all seasons - I ditched the Pirellis that I believe were OE for the PS and am very happy with ride quality
