Stick with it, dont give up. Youre almost there. When you have your car on the road, it will be extra sweet.

I believe his latest update was that he ordered a pair of Suncore struts or rebuild kits, which is the same company as Unity, and that they were to arrive yesterday/Tuesday.

I wonder how they are working out?.....

Another FVD fan here. Run their flashes on both my Turbos. Great products and great people.

I believe he did order the FVD full strut assemblies, only to find out that it was a pair of rebuild kits, and that the full strut assemblies would cost a substantial amount more, hence cancelled the order....

Has anyone tried the FVD shocks? It looks like the strut is taken from the old shock and installed on the new, but from what i understand this would need to be done with a press (not DIY friendly).

@shrike071 kindly shared a strut rebuild DIY:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ispreloading=1

I had a local Porsche specialist (House in Pasadena) rebuild the right side strut reusing the original shock. I replaced the front left with a new Arnott strut. Less than 2 years later maybe less than 10k mi the boot is torn, but otherwise happy. Look at possibly replacing the upper control arms at the same time they wear out quickly...
