Budget Friendly Downpipes That Work For PTT

Hello fellow panamera turbo owners, I started modding my 2011 PTT starting with catless downpipes and resonator delete.

Instead of buying aftermarket downpipes I had a fabrication shop remove my factory downpipes, cut them open and remove the stock cats. They Tig welded the empty cans back together and reinstalled them.

As a youtuber I made a full video of the process, check it out.

I paid $1100 for everything including doing my oil change and installing my BMC filter

Awesome ! Did the shop want to face the liability of removing the cats, or did they have you sign something ? I'm also struggling with paying 1,500$ for catless downpipes in a county where we don't have annual emission inspections....

I paid about 1500 for custom catless downpipes but looks like you got a solid deal, I also did resonator delete and the sound is awesome at wide open throttle and basically stock driving under normal conditions

Looks like a solid option for you PTT owners! Now you need more meat on those wheels and not just the rubber bands . (BTW we met at Fabspeed, recall the oil top off after burnout videos)

So I never thought that far, but visually under the car it looks completely stock so no one would know

I also did the resonator delete as well, cold starts are vicious now. I agree under normal driving its close to stock in the cabin.

What's going on man, thanks again for the oil. I am about to put my stocks back on with a set of toyo 888r tires. After I do the tune and plenum I am going for 10s before it gets too cold.

Yes full weight and full tune.

I know 10s are ambitious but we will see.

I did the same thing with my Cayman, using Carnewall, but how did you fix the O2 sensors or are they only in front of the cats?

Are you planning to visit a drag strip or use a timer like the Dragy? I'm a fellow NJ PTT owner with similar mods and I'd love to see a 10 second run!
