2011 vs 2013?
Quick question... debating on adding a Panamera Turbo to go along side of my C4S in the garage. I'm currently looking at 2. One is a 2011 with 2 yrs bumper to bumper warranty left. The other is a 2013 recently serviced with no warranty except the dealer's 2month power train warranty. Both are clean with low miles. The 2013 has about 10k more miles but only 2 previous owners. The 2011 has 4 previous owners. Which would you consider to be the best of the two? I'd really like the warranty for peace of mind. Is the 2013 worth the upgrade?

I have a 2013 S. It's the same car 2011 vs. 2013 isn't it? I don't know of any updates, other than a few things like the cam bolts and coolant tubes were fixed - but chances are that 2011 with a warranty has had those items addressed. Comes down to which car you like better, options, color combo, condition, and pricing. You can always get a warranty on the 2013. But seems lower miles with a warranty is the way to go on the 2011 unless the 2013 has a better option list or is a better color or something.

Porsche really didn't change the cars much during the '.1' years.. same for the '.2' years. A 2011 and 2013 Turbo are going to be virtually the same, outside of options and fixes. For the 2011, ensure recalls have been done.. as the Turbo motors did have a few issues that were addressed in later years.
If I recall correctly, the one thing that might be different is that the PCM may have changed for 2013? I could be entirely wrong though.
Really, it comes down to cost, miles, options, how well the car has been taken care of, warranties.. that sort of thing. Also.. maybe registration cost like my state had until it was just voted out (a two year older car would be notably cheaper to register each year).

in CA reg cost is calculated from purchase price - even on a used car - it may be a more complicated algorithm - not exactly sure how it works, but for a similar priced car it's about the same pretty much regardless of model year. I'm sure this varies completely state to state.

it most definitely does vary
Yeah.. ours was on a depreciation schedule based on vehicle age. So we'd pay the tax rate on a percentage (depending on the age) of the vehicle's MSRP. So each year the cost would drop by a notable amount, until it flattens out.
So if I bought a 2016 car it would be significantly more expensive than if I bought a 2014 car, even though they are the same otherwise.
We just voted this out though.. so, whatever?

Appreciate the replies. the 2011 was and still is under bumper to bumper warranty for 2 more years. Maintenance is all up to date. It has the wood grain interior that is ok, but I like the carbon interior on the 2013. Also, i can't recall, but the 2013 had the option to open and close exhaust flanges. I didn't see that button on the 2011. Was that an option or was that only available in 2013? The warranty that's already in place on the 2011 is making it more attractive to me. Not sure how much an aftermarket warranty would be for the 2013. Here in Va, it's the purchase price for taxes when you purchase.

Is that for all V8 or just the TT?
