Thermal Wrap on Down Pipes and Mid Pipe
Just had the pipes wrapped today, will also be doing stabilizer bar bushings, front brake pads, and figuring out fuel pressure issues. Figured I'd share the wrapping pics. I will update if it makes any noticeable difference.

A little heads up.. It works great and does what its supposed to do, however, if you have stock piping, it will cause it to crack prematurely.... Noticed that on two panameras already

Do you have a tune too? Interested to know how the down pipes are as considering the FVD sport cat ones.

Yes have FVD tune as well. Catless sounds great wide open throttle and pretty stock at cruising speeds.

Hard to say, did all mods at same time. Car is impressively fast now but fuel pump just went bad and it's a special order part, no car for 2 weeks, hoping that's all that needs to be replaced

TOP TIP: I had some DEI thermal wrap catch fire on the dyno years back due to a bit of oil/grease that leaked on it from the engine. Inspect carefully at ever oil change. Since that incident I've always suggested ceramic coating.

Mazurda, I totally agree with XLR8... The Risk vs. Benefit is totally not worth it at all... Plus, the area that you wrapped isnt an area that requires much heat shielding, it would be right in the engine bay around the turbos themselves... Also, we had a GTR on the track that had a broken fuel line and a little gas sprayed over the wrap, and it caught on fire immediately since the DEI retains a lot of heat. I even thought of doing the Snail housing wrap too, but its the same exact risk.... Tread carefuly my friend..definitely not bashing on your mod, but I do care about you being safe and hope that you understand that and just looking out...

An alternative to this, which im sure will probably work out better is using Gold wrap heat shielding on components that you dont want to get heat up. Im doing mine right now and will post up a DIY within the next day.
