Panamera Transmission pan leak

2010 Panamera 4S, PDK, 44,xxx miles. Found oil on transmission pan. Cleaned thoroughly and drove about 100 miles. Oil appears to be seeping where the pan meets the transmission. No dripping but wet. I understand this entire pan needs to be replaced every 120K which is a long ways away.. Is there a way to reseal the pan or is entire replacement necessary? Also I see several pan options... OEM, VAICO and Beck Arnley. Quite a difference in price $139 to $400ish. Are they all of similar quality? Also can the pan just be replaced or will it require a complete fluid change?

Thank you!
Steve

you need to replace the pan, the filter is embedded in the pan. for sure you need a new gasket and high temp grease on the gasket. I would go with OEM from Porsche shop on line. I always buy it from https://www.sunsetporscheparts.com/, no sales tax. I think you need to a new fluid as well. Ciaka wrote about Tranny DIY very well. It is easy work, jack up the car safely so you have clearance to go underneath to do the work. my 2016 pan4s just got PDK service at the Fletcher Jone Porsche dealer with a good price $426 total. I was so busy did not have time to do it over the weekend due to heavy travel and holiday. Follow PDK reset posting in this forum. You are good to go.

have fun ...
