Can you drive with Air Suspension disabled?

I read somewhere that to disable the air suspension, press the ride height button for 10 seconds. What exactly does this do? Can you drive in this mode? Just curious.

Used for lifting the car or one wheel. If air suspension level control is disabled, it will be switched on automatically above 4mph.

If I recall correctly you have an issue with the air suspension and want to postpone repairs. I've driven ours with a bad strut. System is off and the car rides like it has no suspension at all, really rough like it's constantly bottomed out. I do not recommend this as it would wear out or damage the other good components. There is a warning about driving around with the suspension disabled, that it could dislocate the rear bags somehow so that they don't sit correctly and hence don't inflate, without some work...

This is what happened when my mind wanders.

How about getting towed on a flatbed? Is this the only required procedure?

It is not necessary to disable the air suspension control for a flatbed tow? The wheels/tires are tired down during the tow.

I agree with it not necessary with a flatbed tow. Disable the system when you are going to unload the suspension in any way, ie. when a wheel/the wheels will be dangling in the air.
