Exhaust Header issue with Heavy Rain

Hey All,

Recent owner of a 2010 Panamera 4s, just hit 80k Miles today. I have a strange issue that I have only noticed during heavy rain and I have narrowed it down to when water more than 2-3 inches splashes into (what I assume is) the engine bay.

When this water hits the car sounds like it is grumbling and burbling, almost as if its coming from the exhaust but you can feel and hear it coming from the drivers side in the bay. If you rev it a bit the water "clears out" and its totally fine until you hit another deep puddle.

Any ideas what this is?

I think you've narrowed it down to rain and water getting in your exhaust...how do you know it's in the headers and not in other areas? Why drive through heavy rain?
