Still getting.....Oil Pressure Monitoring Fault

Recently replaced oil pressure sensor after receiving the fault code intermittently while in Sports Plus mode while driving (gauge goes to 0, still showing boost, and then comes back to reading oil pressure). Oil pressure seems to go much higher than usual almost hitting 5 on the gauge when in high RPM range. Have not been able to pull a code since the light does not stay on long enough. I see many other owners have experienced these symptoms. Is the oil pump the only other step to this? Car is 2011 PTT with 64k miles

I've read this on another forum and on a 4S...

"There is a oil pump pressure regulating valve on the side of the oil pan that he suspects is faulty, and is fairly easy to change. If that doesn’t fix it, he said the oil pump would be the next thing on his list to check."

I read the same thing, unfortunately I can not find a part that fits that description, it seems that it cross references to the oil pressure sensor which I already replaced.

My 2012 Panamera base (110k miles) has been doing this for about 30k miles. Already changed the sensor and had the oil pump checked. Can't find the problem, it's intermittent but only on the highway at higher speeds.

Did you ever got to the bottom of this? I have the same problem every time I go into the high way and pass 60 MPH. Need to know how to fix this.
Thank you!

Someone with PIWIS could look up the diagnostic code if you have a reader...

130K Panamera base model experiencing same oil pressure sensor fault…

Just started experiencing this problem over the past 10k miles.
observations…
1. loss of oil sensor readings (drop to zero) and yellow fault indicator occurs on a warm engine, usually after a restart.
2. Operation of the engine during this loss of oil pressure signal seems normal. No change in engine temperatures of the water or oil during the interruption in oil pressure. No unusual sounds or rpm noticed during driving. First time this happened… I was shocked and thought I was in catastrophic failure. Soon the pressure reading returned. Whew…
3. Duration of the loss of oil pressures signal varies between less than 1 minutes to sometimes 10-20 minutes before it recovers a signal.
4. My mechanic has suggested replacing regulator first. If that does not work, replace the oil pressure pump… yikes (several thousand dollars)…
5. Please call, text, WhatsApp or email if you have solved it. I’ve’ loved my Porsche and had zero issues till now.

It went away after replacing sensor just not immediately, never replaced oil pump, I am currently dealing with a 6 week wait for a new differential

I dontbremwmber if I had to reset with iwis after oil pressure sender replacement. Something tells me I removed battery cable for couple hours, after reset with tool to clear all errors. Some porsche sensors do keep error for aboutv50 miles after replacement. Unless cleared and power removed. I'd try just in case.

I replaced the sensor and still get the warning although much less frequently.

Try to reset with a diag tool, then pull battery cable for couple hours to reset everything. Thats my only other suggestion here. From what I remember on my cayenne, I replaced the oil sensor, and error was still coming back until I reset with Durametric and removed battery cable for a while. Then it all went away and never came back.
Hope it helps you. Thanks.

I'm sure you are probably aware. But if your replacement oil ressure sensor is not a genuine Porsche part, it's very likely to be throwing a code. Many who did this learned the hard way.
parts often sold as oem, but that dies not mean they are genuine Porsche. Must be genuine porsche part (identical to what is installed at factory).
