There will be no fault codes/messages. Car will run fine but will charge new battery with old battery charge profile. System doesn't seem to keep battery at full charge maybe 70 -75 % I'm guessing because when I top off battery and drive voltage on display will drop to 12.x V on the display for a while, then go up to 13.x V. I noticed before battery change and register it will display 14.x V.

Currently, I maintain the battery every day by connecting it to a smart charger when the car is not driven. How does the system handle waking up to a fully charged battery all the time?

I did not notice any difference with the old battery, and pre-registration of the newer battery. (I took the battery from an '08 BMW E90 because I wanted to use the car to go to a funeral in San Diego that morning). After registration and fully charged I noticed the voltage would drop to the 12.x V range. I was worried the alternator was going out and posted here. (The battery died a few days after I topped it off, and I was kind of surprised. My wife could not drive it to work that morning). I even came here to report the 12.x V displayed voltage and people confirmed something was wrong with the alternator. I sat on replacing the alternator until now, and haven't had any issues beyond seeing the 12.x V on the display after it being fully charged. That's when I deduced the charge profile is different with a new battery than an old one.

The piwis didn’t have my amp hour rating for the duralast battery I installed. I honestly just put the old battery numbers and it seemed to work.

I topped off the battery with my charger two days ago. This is the display as I wait for curbside pickup at a local Best Buy, (about 6 miles from home).

Yes, Los Angeles County...

I used the old battery info too. Just so happens the new battery was 95 Ah, same as old original Porsche. I changed the last character/digit of the serial number by incrementing it two characters/numbers.

Porsche brand
Manufacturer MOLL
95 Ah AGM
PN: 7PP.915.105
For serial number I think I ran out of space, original SN *205 MLA1C3QHXQ1*, I think I used MLA1C3QHXS .

Hi....the gadget he was utilizing to check it looked lovely darn costly and competent of checking the control units. I figure I'm fair confounded why he wasn't able to absolutely say that a control module is terrible. From my inquire about it looks just like the lion's share of my issues are controlled by the same module but a few are ran off different modules, driving me to accept a hand-over reset method is the foremost likely cure.
