Battery management system reprogram failure

I bought an icarsoft analyzer with the intent of registering a new battery in my 2014 panamera. I get the same response from the unit “cannot receive correct response from vehicle. Please try again”. After about 8 attempts over two days I give up. I even tried using the old battery information. So will be returning the unit and taking the car in to the dealer or an independent.

Nikita4Ever is infamous around these parts
I don’t know what the big deal is about this magical battery management thing. I connect my batteries to a smart battery charger every time the vehicles are in the garage. My batteries are in great shape. When I’m driving, I noticed the voltage jump between 13.5 to 14.5. I’ve been doing this for the past 10 years. Let’s not over think this.

You need the icarsoft POR V2.0 unit to reset the battery management system.

For the serial # change one of the digits/characters. I don't think it allows registration of the exact same serial #.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll try that.
