Two PCM Questions (970)

Two questions on my 2012 Turbo…

1) has anyone been able to get the diamond button on the steering wheel to change through radio presets? Ours seems to only seek to the next radio station, rather than the next preset. Strange decision by Porsche if this is the only way to use it

2) does anyone use navigation with any regularity? Any luck finding destinations? I basically always just use google maps on my phone because I can’t get the Porsche Nav system to find ANYTHING. I’ve tried to use it to find a local Best Buy, a nearby hotel, etc - no luck. Is it just me, or is this nav system basically unable to find anything useful unless you have the actual address.

any help is appreciated, thanks folks

Same as you, basically useless for anything other that the radio! The diamond button is seriously limited. I also wanted it for presets only but it only seeks...

I don’t think our ‘13 GTS has steering wheel buttons, so I’m afraid I never use them.

I search addresses on my phone then use the navigation to enter the address, then follow the directions. I am not sure if it is getting traffic information. If there’s traffic I’ll run my Google Maps simultaneously….

You have to be subscribed to XM traffic service for the navigation system to display traffic conditions. I accidentally stopped my subscription once and the traffic displays on my navigation system went away😳 I don’t know why Porsche designed the system that way but it appears they did.

Address or GPS co-ordinates otherwise forget it. Oh and if it's on a newer road.......
