Considering a 2012 Panamera 4

Am I crazy to go for the “slow” one?

We’re looking for a replacement for an UrS6 that’s served faithfully for a very long time, thought we might get a 2015 4S in a year or two, but it just got rear ended and there’s a nice Panamera 4 on the lot at a great price.

I’m loathe to forgo the turbos just in general principles, but even without them it’s a huge upgrade from what I had…. Probably much easier to care for, too?

I’ve always had turbo AWD before, Audi and Mitsubishi, so I’m pretty well versed in care and feeding of somewhat finicky machines. But I’m looking for something that won’t have me under the hood very often, at least for a few years.

What do you say, and what else should I find out before buying?

Is the “crack pipe” an issue on the v6 as well, or only v8 motors?
