Keyless entry door sensor replacement

Looks like my door sensor died as it cannot recognize my keys to unlock the door, has any one had this replaced and know the dealer rough cost? My indy shops are unable to do it as they cannot get the part and wont be able to program.

I can still press the remote button to unlock the door, but having to take keys out of my pocket that just seems like something a peasant will do.

This has been discussed on here before. From what i remember, each door has its own sensor/transmitter in each door and it is incredibly difficult and time consuming to replace each one.

Nope, thanks close but not it. My keys do not comfort access any door. when codes are pulled it lists drivers door sensor no communication. I can see on the dash when i approach each door key not recognized, they are new keys programed by dealer about 6-9 months ago.

I am more annoyed about having to go in and pay again, the comfort access option is only like 500 when you purchase the car i just dont want to pay more to get it fixed then it cost to get it installed.

I had that same issue on my former PTT, just all of the sudden started displaying key not recognized on the dash. It would also not allow the trunk to close and lock. I tried the below process i found on this site (https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-your-car.html), but it didn't work. Maybe it will for you:

I had the same issue and also tried every iteration possible to get my keys to re-sync. The manual is not very helpful, but I finally stumbled on this approach, which worked great for me:

Lock the doors from the outside by using the key in the door lock.

Unlock the drivers side door using the key in the door lock.

Within about 10 seconds or so, open the door and insert the key into the ignition. DON'T START THE CAR!!

With the key still in the ignition, push the unlock button on the key.
