Anyone have any experience with the Powerbuilt U Jack to lift the Panamera? Like the idea of lifting from the jack point and then being able to slide a jackstand to the same spot. Getting ready to do a big service (PDK, front and rear diffs, etc.) so figuring out best way to lift and support at the same time.
Almost pulled the trigger on a QuickJack (good price on Costco) but then realized Panamera needs frame extender or longer TLX model and these are not on sale 😕.
I’ve seen @ciaka’s technique of ramps for the front and then lifting the rear at the cross member next to the rear diff. Trying to figure out how to get more clearance under the car than ramps can provide. Getting too old to work flat on my back with my hands right next to my face 😂.
I have used these on my Aston Martin Vantage. But they should work on any car. Expensive but solid and idiot proof. Saw them on some Jay Leno youtube video that popped up.

Hey @Senatorblutarsky! Thanks for this! These look really cool! Wow are they expensive though! Also backordered.
l’ll probably keep it simple and drive up on Rhino Ramps to raise the front. All then use @ciaka’s technique of lifting the rear through the cross member with my floor jack. I’ll slide another set of Rhino Ramps under the rear wheels. This way the car will be level for the PDK service. One day I may invest in a QuickJack…

If I was thinking to upgrade, I would do... this...my preferred...or... this.
A 2 post lift would be sweet. Unfortunately, I don't have the ceiling clearance in my garage. I've been eyeing a QuickJack for some time but having trouble justifying the expense given my occasionally DIY needs. Two weeks ago Costco had a really good deal on the QJ 7000TL. I was about to pull the trigger. I did the 4 measurements that QJ suggests prior to ordering and realized that the Panamera needs the TLX model (either 5000TLX or 7000TLX) or the frame extension. Ended up passing and will continue to use ramps, service jack, and jack stands 😕.
FYI...for a 2014 4S here are the 4 QJ measurements in case anyone is wondering:
1. Curb Weight: 2450kg (5401lbs)
2. Tire Spread: 92"
3. Lift Point Min: 59-1/2" and Lift Point Max: 67-1/8" (the standard TL models are short by 1/2"!)
4. Ground Clearance: 4-1/2" in normal mode (should check as everyone's car will be different depending on model [GTS is lower], lowering of vehicle through links/PIWIS/module)
Closing the loop on this for anyone that might be interested. I picked up a PowerBuilt UJack to complete my big 80, 000km service. I can confirm it works as advertised. Can lift each corner at the jack point and then slide a jack stand onto the same jack point. Go slow when letting it down (onto the jack stand or back on the ground) as the hydraulic mechanism is pretty touchy and it can go too fast. Best to practice a bit to get a feel for the jack.
You can only get a 3 ton jack stand to fit in the opening on the jack but this is plenty on all 4 corners. The car is perfectly level as long as you use the same brand of jack stand on all 4 corners.
I hammered out:
1. PDK pan/filter/oil change + trans mount
2. Rear and front differential fluid changes (I can’t get the smell of gear oil out of my nose!).
3. Brake bleed
4. Rear shock mounts
5. Rear passenger wheel housing rubber flap
Few weeks ago did coils & plugs, engine air filter (LOL had to remove the bumper!), custom front bumper grille mesh, and the cabin air filter. Done now! Thanks for all the DIY write-ups - they were invaluable.
Can’t believe how awesome the car is running! About to list her for sale and had to make sure she was perfect for the next owner.
