Planning the next Florida meet
hey Guys,
I know its early, but lets start talking about the next meet for the Florida gang. I have heard from a few that the next meet should be in the Naples area... so looks like I got some work to do.
Just want to get a feel for dates to see what would work for everybody. Trying for the September/ October window... hopefully late enough that temps & humidity have come down but early enough to beat the tourist traffic.
Weekend of... 9/11, 9/18, 10/9, 10/23, or 10/30
Thinking something along the lines of what we had in Orlando... meet and show off our cars. Perhaps a drive to a predetermined location for some sunset photos. After the Mortons fiasco, I think folks can make their own group dinner plans.

Don't forget that I too live here in Naples. I have been setting routs around for my customers that like to ride. A couple of the roads have nice curves as well as nice long uninteruped straight hole shots.

My wife has offered to organize a dinner at a local restaurant there if you guys want to go that route. She's got experience doing this. Let me know if you you guys are interested. She's done hundreds of dinner programs with her job. I guarantee it'll go smoother than Mortons

I am taking a group of people out today on a cruise to Arcadia. We are gonna be on V-rods so this should be pretty interesting. Any ways, I'll take the mielage down and let you guys know. I have done this route before and is a very relaxing drive.

Perhaps we should scrap Naples for the time being and make it a N. FL meet the weekend of 10/16 at the car shows. Otherwise we are looking at something just before Thanksgiving or between the holidays... a busy time for everyone.

How about the Ritzs in Orlando
RDH said the GM is a huge car buff and it is a great middle ground for everyone. The hotel is wonderful and there are plenty of places to eat. We could get great parking for the cars. Who is in???????
