LA/OC/SD 6speeders:

Well, it has been a long time since we had an official meet. The last official meet we had was under some dire circumstances. To be honest, I did not feel that a Summer meet was in order given the loss of our friend, Ben. So, I apologize for the lack of a summer meet but it just didn't seem right so close to Ben's passing.

Nonetheless, I think the time has come to celebrate together once again. As many of you recall, last years Meet/Run/Dinner was a great success. I had a tremendous amount of fun and I was so impressed with the turnout.

So, I thought it would be fun to have a 6speed Halloween Meet? The Meet/Run/Dinner would take place on October 29th. Right now I am simply floating the idea to see if there is enough interest for the meet to take place. In order to achieve enough economies of scale, we typically need to hit about 50 to 100 attendees. Last year we had 75 6speeders (with spouses or gf's) attend the Fleming's meet. I think we can exceed that number.

The meet would obviously be open to everyone. Wives, GF's, etc are more than welcome.

So, if you are interested, please respond to this thread immediately with a proposed headcount.

I need to quickly gauge if there is enough interest to make this happen. Personally, I think it would be a tremendous amount of fun. I'm pretty sure I can convince at least 3 CGT owners to show up as well as an Enzo or two.

Think of it...Arling dressed as a CGT...Albert dressed up as a 20D...Kevin (cool996) decked out as a Sig P226...Matt showing up with his friggin stable of exotics...could be a lot of fun.

Let me know what you think. If there is enough interest, I am willing to invest my time to make it happen.

Hehe...costumes are just an idea...no need to do it if the group feels that it's unnecessary...

But come on, Roy or Joe in a tutu? Oh man, that would be awesome. They would win!

I'm down! Not sure about the whole costume thing, but I'm willing to take the heat for not wearing one....haha! I'll have to check the calender just to make sure I have nothing going on.

Well add two more to your list Tuuner, count my friend Nick and I in. We will be in the same red mustang GT we were in for Bens meet. This time I hope to be a bit more sociable and meet a lot of you guys, so I hope this happens.

I've talked with a few venues and we need to decide quickly. I will leave the response open until Friday COB. If we can't get enough commitments to attend by Friday, then we will cancel and hold the event some other time.
