Anyone have connections with Autobahn Country Club? I think it's in Joliet....making it SW of the city, and depending on when we do this, it could make for a fun experience...

I know one of the founders, and yeah, its in Joliet. Let me know what you guys are thinking ( i.e. rent the track or just hold a meet 'n greet ).

 

The autobahn calander is filling up quite rapidly so to have something there would mean we have to act fast. Renting the track for an event would mean big time organization. I am actually up for it but would have to know that there are enough people out for the event. We can always tag along with another event and have all 6speeders meet there for the event.

 

Let's do this, I am thinking of the sometime this Spring. Once it is setup we need to advertise to the Lambo and Ferrari forums. I would like this to be HUGE!

 

I am in let me know what we can all do to make this meet a success, along with me my borther will be into it as well. Let's GIT'er done boys.

Personally, I think we should set up more of a meet and greet along with a cruise of some sort? Definetly need to wait until it gets a little warmer out there. Maybe sometime in late march/april?

 

I think we can still do this and just meet at this go kart track. Then if anyone wants to run the carts while we hang out they can. Then we could go for a drive! Definately not until April!

 

check out www.chicagoindoorracing.com for more info on the karting place. They have a resturant and bar upstairs which would be a nice place to hang out afterwards. Just give me that green light and we can start thinking of a time and I will set it up for everyone

anyway...Id love to do the cir thing....though I doubt Id track my altima at the track type meet

 

Lets pick out a date guys. Something when the weather gets a bit nicer. I will set up an event. We can start making polls on the time and date and then on what kind of event you want. We can do a gradprix which would be 3 qualifying races and then a Grand Prix but if we have more than 10 people, sometimes the slowest couple will not make it to the grand prix. I can try to have it set up just about any way though. I know some of the people there and will have it set up so that everyone has fun. We can also do an enduro or team enduro where we randomly select teammates or by weight. Anything goes really, but once we have an idea of exactly what we want I will set it up.

 

the week of 11-19 of march (preferably not the last sunday) would be super awesome (so 18th?) just because I'll be in town for break

I know they have tons of group packages...so maybe one of those?

 

I am looking more at April when we can all drive our cars! I won't be there in March!

 

I could probably make one of these meets. Driving to Chicago has been on my to-do list for a few months now, and I have about 5 other good excuses racked up now so I might as well.

 

I agree with buddyg. Sometime in april would be better. March is still a little cool out there. Maybe mid april?

See if we can do April 29th, the problem with polls is everyone has a different date that will work. We just have to pick a date and those who can come will.
