I'm in. You'll just have to pick a date buddy. People can either attend, or not. Even then, some who say they will be there, won't. Things turn up....

 

I'd say the second week of may: with the wierd weather we've been having who knows what's ahead, by mid-may we can be more certain of good weather.

Alright how about May 13th, can someone in Chicago set this up with the karting track??

Is May 13th agreed upon? If so I will get all the info on different types of events/races we can set up at Chicago Indoor Racing and I will report them back to the site so that we can make a decision. The number of people attending is also important because we need some sort of head count to get an accurate set up for track rental

 

That's a good point, so now that we have a date and venue selected, perhaps we should make a new post with all of the information and then start linking other chicagoland 6-speeders and people from F-Chat etc to it.

But first, we should confirm availability at CIR, can you do that boyracer?

that far in advance will be no problem to book at CIR. what i do suggest is that we keep the track event limited to 6speed crowd and friends. The track is not huge and getting way too many people involved will make it hard to have the track part. After the event people can stick around purchase individual races and track more and so can people from other forums etc. But having way too many people will not be easy to set up the track part. However, we should def post on other forums for the whole meet part. CIR has a pretty large parking lot and having everyone meet us there would be awesome. Maybe posting the time of the meet to corrlate with the end of our actual tracking so that when we are done racing we can all go hang out upstairs or in the parking lot with the different chicagoland car clubs, FCHAT etc. I will call CIR tomorrow and post prices etc for all of you to chose from
