Chicago Crystal Cove type meet
We are going to need to have an alternate route through town due to all of the construction to the Ryan expressway.

Yea the Dan Ryan (which is a garbage road to begin with, potholes etc) will be a parking lot 20 hours a day from now on.
Also whats the deal with this...what's the hold up?

I sent a PM to BOYRACER and here was the response I recieved:
So should we go ahead with the date -- 5/13 at 11 am? or push it back for the sake of rallying up more participants?

I know the owner so it will not be a problem.

Guys, I am up for anything...but getting only 5 members to CIR and renting the track will not be worth it. We have had bad turnouts at chicago 6speed events and renting out the whole track will be way too expensive if not enough people show up. We can always go there and do arrive and drives if we can not get a large enough group, but I am hesitant on renting the track and then all of us getting stuck footing a large bill because people decided not to show.
I say let's NOT rent the track out but go ahead with this event and just make it our meeting place. But let's start advertising this event on the other major Car Boards.

I'm in, I'll make a new thread with just the details and info so nobody has to read through 5 pages of planning to get to the point.

Agreed with Buddy. About half of the people who said would show up to the gathering here last Sept. actually did, so I totally understand Boyracer's concern. I am NOT footing any part of a bill for someone who says they'll show and doesn't....

I think that sounds like a good idea. We have a huge chicago region board with a lot of eurocars...Euroteknik.com so we will try to get them to come out with us as well. Good group of guys and some nice rides. We can make this into a pretty nice meet.
I just did not want anyone to end up coming to a karting event and getting stuck with 150 bucks worth of track rental fees because 10 people did not show up. I did this before and instead of making the individuals pay, I ate the cost myself, but learned my lesson.
