Hey Guys,
Building on the success of this past weekends GTG and drive. After speaking with various people who attended, some expressed interest in a local, weekly GTG. Similar to California's Crystal Cove. If there is enough interest we can try and set this up in a location convenient for everyone. So if this sounds like something that sparks your fancy please post to this thread with suggestions for a meeting place, day and time. I'll go first....

Edgewater, NJ Starbucks... Wed nights

 

I live in Manhattan and Edgewater is a good spot. Meeting on the weekends would be preferred. I'd love for there to be a CC-type meet in the tri-state

btw, you should also collaborate with someone over at fchat to get this going...

I am in, preferably saturday or sunday, mornings or evenings.
Location? Anywhere in NJ where roads are smooth, minimal potholes, minimal traffic and friendly cops.

on behalf of the CT/westchester people I would agree with a location a little more off the Tappan Zee then the GW unless the meets are on the Weekend, but sounds like this could be a success if rightly planned. Paramus NJ or Nyack NY don't sound to bad.

I'd be into it. I live in Hillsdale, close to Paramus but I'd travel anywhere.

 

Some great ideas guys! We should also choose a site which has either restaurants, shopping or other activities around. An empty parking lot will get old quick. If significant others are coming as well, I'm sure some sort of shopping would be much appreciated as well as a place to get beverages and snacks. I like the idea of early Sat or Sun meets because that will give us the rest of the day to do as we like. Also gives people the opportunity to go on scenic drives after the meet if they so choose, depending on location.

On a side note:
Tonight there is a small meet with the Audiworld.com group at the Edgewater Starbucks. If you are in the area and want to see what we can expect, drop by! Usually there is a larger gathering of other car clubs there as well. Tonights meet should be great and people start showing up around 9pm or so! The weather is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!!!!!!

 

I would say Edgewater or Nyack would be great! I'm in.

being an Audiworld'er im at the starbucks thing every thurs but i was thinking that since weekends seem to be a preference whatabout something like sunday brunch at Riverside Square mall? shopping isnt open but the reastaurants are (houtons, cheesecake, mortons, Mccormick's, thai chef) as is the day spa that they have at that mall(for SO's) ..... just a thought...that place is pretty cleared out on sundays.

 

F3D, That's a excellent idea! Rt4 roads are very good too. Easily accessible from RT 17, 80, 95, GSP, 287, 208 etc. The parking lot there is huge and Sundays we don't have to deal with any crowds. Keep the ideas coming!!!!!

 

the best part is i live closer to R.S. Mall than i do edgewater :P muahahaha

and the houstons ribs are better than anything in edgewater!
