If anyone is interested in some post lunch twisties, I'll be taking a small contingent on a sampling of the June 24th Chesapeake Region PCA Scenic Maryland Covered Bridge Tour... We will have enough time to do about 1/3 of the tour since that's a 4.5 hour tour (with breaks)...

If we are going to have this many cars I suggest we move to the lot on the other side of the Silver Diner in front of Le Madeline...there is a ton of space over there without messing with the business owners in the Starbucks lot.

Wish I could be there guys, but an EXCELLENT idea here b/c remember what my one buddy told me about the Hour Eyes owner after we all left. He was unable to make the drive so after we left he got an earful from the owner. More space.

Actually, if we used the lot in front of "WE BE TOYS" it would work better... It always has a lot of open space... That way it's still convenient for everyone to just pop into Starbucks...

I'll take care of the HOUR EYES guy if he makes a fuss - TRUST ME!

It probably wasnt a problem to fill up that lot when these meets were only twice a year. Now that we're having them more like twice a month, I can see why the shopowners get a little pissed. We could move it just to the other side of the access road, thereby getting out of everyones way. Here's a pic.

Green is old lot, yellow is usually unused space.

whaddya guys think?

I still think in fron of le madeline is optimum and allows the most room if we are expecting 100 cars, for our usual meets the lot in front of Toys R Us outlined in yellow should suffice. I dont want to disturb Toys R Us if they get worried about kids once school gets out and traffic there picks up. Just being cautious as i want this to continue and dont want a property manager to get pissed about us.

Yellow Lot is "WE BE TOYS"... Too late to change this one... Maybe future events... Frankly I would prefer not to meet in Rockville as it's tough to get the cruise out of the area... Germantown is the best meeting place right off 270 at Milestone... Just one traffic light then open driving all the way...

I might also point out about Hour Eyes... Their hours on Sunday are Noon-6... We are generally cleared out of the parking lot before noon except for maybe a few stragglers... Therefore, that store manager should have nothing to complain about and we do bring a lot of business to Starbucks...

Absolutely beautiful day as promised

Remember: Maroon and Orange are the colors of the day in honor of Virginia Tech...

This promises to be one of the best turnouts yet... I'm looking forward to seeing everyone...

Thanks to everyone for making this such a successful event... Just shy of 100 cars showed and 45 cars went on the drive to Roy's Place... After lunch I took a spirited group that hadn't had enough on 1/2 the "Scenic Maryland Civil War Trail/Covered Bridge Tour".... We put a total of 138 miles on for the day... You could not have asked for better weather...

Again, I'd like to thank all that brought their cars to this event... It was great to see old friends and meet new ones... There were some beautiful cars...

See you at the next event... I've been asked to put one on in May... I'll keep everyone posted...

Here's a link for about 120 pictures... This includes the morning's run to Roy's and the afternoon partial Civil War Trail Tour... Enjoy: http://good-times.webshots.com/photo...ost=good-times

Excuse some of the wacky shots... My daughter was in charge of the camera... I deleted about 50 pictures because I have no idea what she was shooting...
