The next 2 runs will start from the Milestone Shopping Center in Germantown... That way we have 1 red light then no more for the rest of the tour...

I've been asked to put one on in May... So I'm putting it together now and will post that when I get a non-conflicting date...

The main run will be June 24th... That's the Civil War Trail/Covered Bridge Tour which also includes 2 little known tunnels... I expect a very large turnout for this tour which will end at the beautiful PB Dye Golf Club in Ijamsville... Here's a link to the course: http://www.pbdyegolf.com/

You have to bolt out of Rockville no later than 11-11:15 or you start hitting all sorts of traffic especially churchs letting out... Even at 11am it's tough to keep the group together when you leave from Rockville and no matter which way you leave there's 10-15 traffic lights...

That's why the next tour leaves from Germantown... In July I plan to have a tour that starts in Virginia... Probably Leesburg...+

You definately don't want to bring her on June 24th... It's an extremely challenging route... I have to tell you though, I took a group down the mountain via Michael Road yesterday and they all did it like champs without complaints... It's a very steep and winding road....

I can't wait till the 24th....

Anybody get any pics from the other group? We had a group with the white 997GT3 and the 500+whp 993 Turbo...I know my passenger was taking pics so I'm trying to get him to upload them...lol I think we had more cars than the Concourse thing...

Also Bull, I think it would be a good idea to break everyone into groups and have some strong leaders at the front of each pack...say maybe 10-15 cars per pack. We need people that seriously know where they are going as some of those turns come up quick and you miss them. Its almost impossible to stay all together especially with that many cars...

I agree but it's hard to get someone to run the route with me prior to the tour... If I could I would have another group leader which would be great... Gina (my wife) can lead but you guys would all run her off the road for doing the speed limit I did get a kick out of a lot of people trying to use their GPS... I have a tendency to find roads that don't exist

Looks like there's enough interest in a May 20th run so I'll post the official details this evening...
