Fellow 6speeders (Updated this post on 6/4/08):
Guys,
My friend and I have organized a rally that would join the Tri-State and Mid-Atlantic folks together for a charitable run from Philly to Baltimore. There is a charitable organization we have in mind, but before we commit to them, we just wanted to gauge how many people would be interested first. The "RUN" is scheduled for Saturday, June 28th and would take us from Philly (you guys had a great overwhelming response so why not start from the city of brotherly love) to Baltimore......better yet, it would take us from a Gentlemen's Club in Philly (not disclosed yet at the moment) to Baltimore Scores Gentlemen's Club with VIP privileges offered in both to the participants. Both Venues are COMPLETELY on board and are totally for this type of an event. ALL proceeds from donations would go directly to the charitable organization and I will make sure of that. The event will include photoshoots of the cars at both destinations as well. We have identified about 20-30 folks who are already interested (ranging from Lambos, Ferrari's, a McLaren SLR, Motorscycles, etc from NYC, Baltimore, Philly and DC) and wanted to gauge the interest of the 6speed community as well because we are a very important community who has a strong passion for these beautiful machines and all activities that surround events like this.
So, all who are interested, could we please start a list.........Thanks in advance for your interest. Please feel free to forward this link/discussion to other friends who you think might be interested that are 6speed members and those that are NOT even 6speed members yet.
BTW - The charitable donation will be going to the ASPCA and is $100 per car (this is tax deductible of course and is for a great cause). Thanks in advance guys.
I will be posting the OFFICIAL thread in the next couple days once I finalize with my co-chairs......

Just FYI you might want to ask a moderator to change the date to 2008.
And.....I'd be down for going with you guys if I could have a ride in someone's car! I'll be the designated photographer! I got a new flash, diffuser, and 70-300mm lens for Christmas.

Folks,
Thanks for the initial interest everyone. The plan is definitely to send reminders and start a post in the next few months as we get closer. As for the parking @ NYC Scores, we'll gauge that as the interest grows. I think a stop in the Philly area as a checkpoint could be feasible. Give me a PM with a location that can house enough vehicles. Sounds like a good break. Send me a spot from NYC and easy enough to get back on a hwy to head to Baltimore. The good news is at least we are planning early enough so there is flexibility in the route. As for the donation amount, the base we are looking for is NO MORE THAN $100 per car (you can have however many people you want per car). Remember, this is a 100% tax deductible donation. Will keep everyone posted. Could each of you who are subscribed to this also forward onto other friends who would be interested (6speed or non 6speed) and have them post or post on their behalf.
Thanks again everyone for your interest. We're looking forward to a great event.
As always PM me with any questions.

No Civics and Neons....check.
TONK - I think you know what we're talking about. agreed on the no civics/neons, but I think folks who are a part of this forum w/ the Porsche's, MB's, BMW's, Skyline's, Ford GT's, token exotics, etc. are good to go. Should not be a problem whatsoever. Let's just get a gauge of what we have and go from there.
Thanks for the additional responses guys.

I can get you a good spot off I-95 in South Philly by the Stadiums. It would be about an hour and forty min from NYC and about an hour and a half from Baltimore. If you really wanted to be a degenerate, there is a nice Gentlemens Club about 5 minutes off the highway with good parking and probably good service since I am friendly with the owner. But, three strip joints in one day might be a bit much for even the biggest of degenerates (ME).
