A big shout out and thank you to speedracer800 for giving up one of his DBS Shifters to replace the stock one in my 08 V8V. We emailed each other a couple of times and I had a brand new shifter arrive at my door in 4 days. Piece of cake to change out (with the help of all the postings here). Whole job took less than a hour. I'm very satisfied with the results
I just did the same thing yesterday! Got a DBS shifter from speedracer800 and installed in about 30 minutes (I've taken apart my console many times previously...). Put about 150 miles on the car today and this is a great improvement.
Only gets hot if it is left in direct sun light... but it is a little cold as the weather drops in Canada :-( Two more weeks and the car is going to storage...
Telum01, the shifter and the boot is one piece... They don't come apart, when I replaced mine the new DBS had its boot attached and I removed my old shifter with its boot attached
Well just had a looked at my old leather one and if you remove the clip without breaking it, I guess you could separate them but they are sold as a single piece.

wow, weird. usually the shift **** just twists off and the shift boo is separate.
