It is certainly exotic looking, but it's not gorgeous like I was hoping it would be. (not that my opinion matters )

Agree. I'm still more a fan of the Vulcan and One77.

I'm interested in seeing how it drives and sounds.

I watched the unveiling live during my flight back from Tampa yesterday. Video was super shoddy so I couldn't make out the details of the car.

To me it just doesn't look like an Aston, aside from a few well-integrated design cues. Specifically the DB11 c-pillars, the creases on the upper/inner sides of the fenders (or whatever they're called on a prototype race car) especially in the rear, and the barely-distinguishable Aston grille (the top half, at least). To me it looks like the lovechild of an F1 car and an LMP1 car, which just enough tweaking to make it unique to a marque - in this case Aston.

I think they missed the mark on the headlight 'shapes' though. Those amorphous shapes do nothing to identify the car, and headlights are some of the most unique and distinguishable parts of any car. Hoping those change. And while I'm sure it's aerodynamically fantastic, the front-on view looks incredibly boring, especially the canopy.

I think it's pretty awesome that they're going for weight savings above all else, and it'll be pretty wild to see what basically amounts to an F1 car for the road.

I think it needs a side strake? Remove the name badge, would you have known an AM?

I hope they make lots of money with this and interesting to see another small production, highly profitable spin-off, and proud to see another high performance design from AM.
That being said, Bez should have gone with the plans for an SUV for a cash-cow. We'll see what Andy does.

I think it's cool, nothing like it in terms of the aero with all the negative space. Maybe not the prettiest car but that's not its purpose. To me it stands apart from the trinity in terms of design, more daring, and hopefully it stand well above them all in terms of performance.

Just came across this write up from WSJ. The technical aspects promise to be amazing. And, "Only 175 copies of the 001 will be made, 150 street-legal and 25 track-only. Beginning in the first quarter of 2019, they will head out the door for the price of about $3 million each."

I was in the local Aston dealer and they mentioned that one of their customers had traded in this little beauty for the first AMRB001 to be shipped to the US, sometime in 2018. The previous owner only drove the Pagani for a few months. Ahhh the life...
