Anyone here owned this 997.2? Thanks
Trying to get a bit of history on this 997, seems it's in VA. Has about 50k miles on the clock. 2011 Turbo S. don't know what's up with the lettering in the back though. Any input appreciated. Thx
It's been for sale for awhile but I'm not sure if it's been with the same dealer the entire time. Regardless if it's been at 1 or 2 dealers, the car has been on the market for awhile which could be a red flag. Maybe it's something as simple as having different badges, or the mileage or aftermarket wheels but I'd definitely have a thorough PPI done.
Thanks for chiming in. I have been following it for some time now. It actullay has not been out there that long. It was traded in 2 days prior to me making this post. I got the car fax on it, it was a daily driver and was traded in for a pick up truck from what the first dealer told me. They said it was going to be sold to another dealer since this is not their usual inventory. Now it ended up where it's at. If I pull the trigger it's definitely going for a PPI. My guess is the 50k miles in combination with the aftermarket wheels don't make it that appealing. Other than that seems like a pretty good deal. I'll chime in when and if I get a PPI. Would love to have someone check it out personally.

Call Maserati of Arlington with the VIN and see what they can tell you about it. Sounds like it may have went from that dealer to the current one. Not necessarily a bad thing but I'd research whatever I can find.

It was listed by Maserati of Arlington for $75,985. This is when I first saw it and this was months ago. That original listing is gone but this link shows it was once there and even the asking price. Mileage was at 52k so you know this wasn't that long ago. Also, googling the VIN will show pics of that same car at Maserati of Arlington in Google images.

I called them a few mins ago. Spoke to one of the sales guy, Seemed like a very honest person. Told me had a ton of interest but people were just ifffy about the miles. He said a few of them had PPIs and came out clean. They ended up selling to I guess the guy that traded to the Chevrolet dealer.
Ha! Great find!

I've noticed the .2 turbos really tank in value with some mileage. These aren't S's but still...under $70K with 47k and 67k miles. This is about what .1 turbos go for with similar mileage.

I know... Those examples in the links are .2 turbos and I mentioned .1 turbos because they go for roughly the same price for similar mileage.
Both those examples are PDK - maybe it's the mileage or the early version of the PDK that is affecting 997.2 prices. The 997.1 with the Mezger engine seems to hold its value better.
Seems like people get scared of the PDK cars once they're out of warranty which is causing the values of the early 2010's (out of warranty) to crash in price.
I still think it is a lot of car for that price. Mileage wouldn't scare me, the opposite, tells me it was a driving car as opposed to one that has barely 8-9k miles and never left the shop. I also think the 991s are tanking very quickly as I have seen some close to 115k vs a fully optioned 997.2 S at high 90s.
