In this case with the anticipated HP/TQ levels the WPC treatment (Shot peening) will not resolve the broken gears.
The WPC will drastically improve the fatigue strength of the gears but not the ultimate strength and will only increase the number of times that the gear can be stress cycled before it fails.
The gears are not wide enough and the material is weak.

Waiting patiantly for stronger gears...rolleyes:

Well it seems like we are rolling again. The EGT module had to go back to get programmed for the ProEFI CAN addresses, but it's back, wired and up and running.


Put Ethanol in it yesterday but it turned out to be E65 winter blend, car made 1100whp on same 16-18 psi climb boost setting.

Great job....Car looks the business...screen is straight out of a formula f1 car....this car is going to be braking sound barriers don't be surprised if you propel yourself straight into the future.....off topic do you have any Dynos and info on your alpha 3076 on 93....

Looks like the engine is making a pretty flat torque curve and has room to go based on this chart. Really impressive

thanks guys. going to bump the boost in next few days hopefully. my goal is 1000wtq and whatever whp the car will make to go with that.... should land in 1450 range.

my stock trans and the off the self FVD 3.8L piston kits are the two current weakest links and after 1 year of building I want to get some enjoyment out of it before I destroy some parts.

With your high rpm and such an efficient engine setup to get to the 1000lb wtq you will cross over the 1500 whp and be closer to 1550...
The sound will be unreal.

Made 1340 yesterday on 26 pounds and pump 1.69$/gal ethanol. It would have made more but all I had left was Ignite Ethanol. This is the latest @ 7700 RPM, 35 psi at red line on Ignite Red.
