Great testimonies here John- congrats on the excellent product and support. Much like Bobby I was one of your earlier customers with a 3.0 X systems with your sport cats. I literately had 4x other systems I tried before this and fell in love with yours.
Purchased a new to me 997.2tt and look forward to getting a new system for that and just need to decide on tips and cats or not.

The 997.2 are much quieter then the Mezger motors and without hesitation would go catless on a 997.2. Catless 997.2 vs catted 996/997.1 the 997.2 would still be quieter.
Look forward to your review of the Speedtech on your new 997.2!

I remember, glad you enjoyed it and congrats on the new car - great choice!
To give you a somewhat better idea - I/We did a lot of R&D specific to the 997.2TT to determine the best sound - IMO that model demands our full 3" pure X-Pipe system with no mufflers to achieve a satisfactory sport sound. As I am sure you have experienced, the 997.2TT dfi engine is extremely quiet and requires a great deal of help. A catted system on the .2TT, even with no mufflers will be relatively tame by older Porsche turbo standards, yet sporty and tasteful. It's a great choice for many customers. The 3" catless version becomes aggressive and much meaner, if that is the type of sound you desire.
Here's a video of catless full 3" to give you an idea - I may be biased, but IMO, I have never heard the .2TT sound nearly as good as with our system:

Exactly, we were typing the same thing at the same time :-)
Here is the other end of the spectrum. A 2.5 "quiet" version X-Pipe we just fabricated for a customer. It includes our HJS cored cats and is designed to re-use the OEM tips.
We recently built this special order, custom 997.2TT 3.0 X-Pipe with HJS cats for a customer. He wanted our 3" dual tips, but with 4" polished skins and he also wanted them to fit with our cats. Since upgrading our 997 turbo systems to 5+" cats, the dual tips on the 997.2TT have only fit the catless RACE version, as the cones interfered with the full 3" tip clearance. The challenge we accepted was to re-design the 997.2TT cat cones to allow the full 3" tips to fit AND additionally, fabricate 4" OD tips for a very close tolerance fit of the bumper cut-out, without a test car in house to verify fitment...After a little preliminary analysis with our jig, we felt it was a go and took the order.
Yesterday, I received an email that the system arrived and the car was going in today for the installation. I was a little nervous about the tip fitment, but cautiously optimistic. Today, I received the following email:
John,I just spoke to the guy at my shop. Said the tips just barely fit, but they fit and the exhaust and tips are straight and level. He said it sounds terrific. I pick it up in about an hour and one half. He mentioned how impressed he is with the welding, materials and construction. Thanks. B
As a result of this project, for anyone interested, we are now able to offer full 3" dual tips with catted 997.2TT systems, no longer just the catless version. Our web page will be updated shortly...
