this for sale for a friend (colleague) has moderator approval...VSE Chuck
this may be a long shot...... i also wonder if i need approval for this post? please let me knwo if there is any problem.
a colleague's wife just passed awaay from a long battle with cancer. they have a family car that was leased a year ago but was never really driven for reason above. i am just trying to help out and see if anyone may be interested in taking over the lease. i am sure an incentive can be discussed. i don't have pictures since this is not a good time to go over there for this reason. but i am told the car is like new.

Very sorry to hear. Best wishes to your friend.
Not sure if this is proper to refer you to another site, so mods plz excuse under the circumstances.
Also try swapalease and leasetrader (.com) For a modest fee (like $50 or so), you can list the car. Don't let the site names fool you -- these are not for trading leases, rather, putting "sellers" and "buyers" of leases together. You can post incentives on those sites as well. For example, you can pay cash to the lease "buyer" that will bring their effective monthly payments down.

thanks. i did mention those websites to him.
that would be about 500 dollars discount per month for the remaining 23 months. this turns out to be over 10K in incentive. i don't think that would work. i am also not sure where 800 per month on a S550 would be possible.
I may be able to pay upto $900 per month. Right now even 2009 S550 is available for lease at $999 per month for 36 month since this is end of year period. Let me know if this works for you guys.
Not commenting on price but where is an 09 S550 available for $1K/month??? Double check and I bet it is with alot of money down. No way this is a zero down deal.

Agreed...I contacted a local Mercedes dealer a few months back about an advertised S550 rate of 1100 per month for 36 months...turns out this rate requires an excess of 6k down...if you could lease these cars for 900-1000 with zero down it'd be all over it..i decided to go with the e class for my dd as the lease rates are much lower and i was able to write off all of my payments as a business expense
2009 S550 is available for $23000 discount to MSRP hence the payment is $999 for 39 month lease with $0 down. I am still interested in your car as I only wanted the car for 24 months lease, I can work with remaining months left. $23,000 discount is dealership employee discount that they offer to loyal customers too. I have credit approved at MB Financial

If you can...do it. That lease is not through MBF as the residual and money factor don't jive. You will need significant OoP in order to get to that figure.
