I bought this car from a fellow 6 speeder as well as a long time PCA member and instructor. I have put less than 1000 miles on the car. I still have a clean title in hand. I just have too many Porsche's (this makes 5 Porsche's and 2 996TT). So there really isn't much to say about my ownership of the car. I just waxed it and maintained it. My goal was to keep it in my collection but Im moving on to another 993. The car was used pretty much as the previous owner's daily driver. He is a professor at a Big 10 University. The records for the car are nothing short of thorough. This car has the most extensive service records I have ever seen as the very particular prior owner (engineering professor) was fastidious about his vehicle and it shows. He is a good friend and I'm sure he would be willing to discuss the car if needed.
When I bought the car, I had an issue with 2nd gear pop out. To be proactive, I removed the engine and transmission. I had the transmission rebuilt and fixed the 2nd gear pop out as well as replaced any worn components. The car has less than 300 miles since complete tranny rebuild. While the engine was out of the car, we pinned all of the coolant fittings (preventative maintenance for a 996tt or GT3). All hoses and belt replaced in 2012. The engine has not been opened or molested. It is in original condition.

It did sell on Ebay for 35k about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately the buyers children informed me that the gentleman that bought it had a massive heart attack. They actually called me from the VA hospital. Really nice guy and really nice family, but the sale did not go through. I ran it again on Ebay and the reserve wasn't met. Its a great car with no issues and is still available for sale.
I was kinda analyzing the pics. Looking around on Ebay ect, I figured it might take about $1200 or so to get the interior back to its full mojo? Steering wheel and center console need the most help. Might need new seat covers, at least driver's. Looks like it might need a P-logo on one of the wheels as well?
So I'd see it as a minor cosmetic fixer upper for an OCD new owner, but the peace of mind from the pinned coolant and fresh trans is what is gonna sell this car. Cool color too.
