Have to disagree with you LuvPorsche. Depends on what you're looking for, color offerings were much better in the later years.

I think the forged internals really only make a difference if you're going to bolt on some forced induction. If you're not the "Cream Puffs" are totally fine.

If anything, my issue with the later year cars isn't the cast internals, it's the softer cam. As I understand it the 96-97 was the most aggressive, 98-99 was revised and less aggressive but still OK sounding, 00-02 was really watered down for lack of a better description.

To that end I think the best option for a car you're actually going to drive rather than stare at is to buy a Cream Puff and do a Heads & Cam package.

Thanks boys. I like the 01-02 ACR the most for two very important reasons:

1) ABS - Pre-2001 didn't have ABS

2) Recall 998 - 1999 and older all had to be recalled due to frame issues which were fixed on model year 2000 and up. Furthermore, this recall was performed by dealers and as you know, workmanship quality varies.
