Guards red 6spd 997.1
I’ve been looking at 911 turbos for a few years now, and I always talk myself out of it in favor of more fiscally responsible investments. My two favorite colors are guards red and silver for the 997 turbo. I found a beautiful red 6 speed car with 36k miles that I can pick up for 75k. Perfect through and through, with a couple small touched up rock chips on the front bumper from normal use. Provided the PPI checks out, would I be over paying for the car?
Also, I’ve heard the guards red porsche’s Have trouble on resale. Is this correct, or am I mistaken?

I think the price sounds just about right from what you describe, and don't worry so much about the resale vs the color, buy and enjoy what you like. If you keep it nice, there'll always be a buyer out there. I bought a red one and very very happy with the choice.

Sounds about right to me. Guards red isn't a common color and it really suits the 997 Turbo's body IMO. Even if it's a bare bones build and you're overpaying by a couple grand, in the long run you'll forget about that and just appreciate that you have the car.

Price sounds like it’s in the right range depending on the condition of the interior. I paid slightly less than that price, but mine has a little more mileage. I ended up with a black on black with 44k miles.

I had no trouble selling my Guards Red/Black 09 TT cab 6MT for my asking a year ago. It's a great color and I wouldn't worry about resale. IMO buyers are moving away from the traditional colors of black and silver and they are now looking for PTS and other unique "skittle" colors such as red, yellow, green and etc. Buy it, enjoy the car, and if/when you do decide to sell there will be buyers.

One thing I have noticed though about Porsche is that the silver you do not have to clean as often and the black you always have to keep cleaning it and it really shows the swirl marks
All things being equal I like the look of the black the best but I have a silver as I don't like to wash it too much

I pulled the trigger. Interior looks really clean with no signs of wear in the black leather.
