06 BMW M5: Short term deal for local known member

I posted a feeler for my M5 a while ago. I really don't need three cars. The car is currently leased, with the lease being over Jan 08. It has less than 8k miles on it with 24k allowed so lots of milage left.

For the money I pay per month, it's worth it for me to just keep it around for whenever I want it. However, if I could get a chunk of cash now, it would be worth it for me.

So what I propose is this: $25k and you take the car until the end of the lease. I will keep it in my name and make the payments. It will also have to stay on my insurance and you will need to get insurance on it as well. It's a good opportunity to get an awesome car for a short term period with no liability.

Because of the personal nature of the deal and the potential liability keeping things in my name, I will only do this with someone local that is a known member.

That is a great deal Steve! Hope someone jumps on this. I would be all over it but I have a big house project eating my money faster than I can print it right now.

original sticker on the car is about 95k. it has pretty much every option aside from ventilated seats. the interior is black with aluminum. sirius subscription is paid for the year.

there's a little curb rash on the passenger side wheels and a couple very minor scratches from being an LA daily driver, but in general it is in very good shape. The only mods are the black powdercoated wheels, the dark window tint, and an aux input for an iPod. The all black look gets LOTS of compliments and is the best looking M5 I have seen. It has had no service issues whatsoever and is probably the best car I've ever had.

Missed the Jan 08 part, guess I overlooked it in just the amazement of the deal. I have personally never seen one structured like that.

yeah, the good part of this deal is that it is very short term, high milage, no paperwork, etc.

If you want to go 2+ years you can obviously come out cheaper per month. Basically I came up with the number from what I pay monthly, plus my insurance I'll have to keep, plus some on top to make up for the risk I'd be assuming.

I think it's a good, fair deal for the right person.

no, I want $25k now for you to have the car for the next 10 months. Like I said, I don't really care about making or saving a few hundred bucks/month. But if I could get a nice bit of cash now it would be worth it for me.

Not sure if i follow this GOOD deal. $25,000 devided by 10 months is $2500 a month. With the allowed 24k miles minus 8k miles (already in the car) is 16k miles left on the lease. That's $1.56 a mile.....

like i said, it's a good deal if you want a SHORT TERM COMMITMENT with a large amount of miles, no fees, paperwork, or involvement of your credit.

If you want an M5 and don't care about a 2 year commitment, go ahead and get it from BMW...it'll be cheaper. I'm offering a different product.
