Final disposition: guilty. Retained Edward Lerner from Sherman Ellison's office. They promised a 90% success rate at getting the ticket dismissed but apparently I fell into the 10%. Despite the CHP officer paying such close attention when he wrote me up that he got my gender wrong on the ticket. Won't use them again.
