I don't know any good shops around the area that handle very high end wheels. I had a leak in one of my rear HRE's and i need a shop to mount the new tire. I don't want to bring it to some guy who's gonna tear up the lip trying to mount the tire. Has anyone had any work like this done in the area? I'm so scared of someone messing up the rim down here.

I just had some tires mounted on my HRE monoblocks at Tire Kingdom. I was very nervous and explained that they were expensive wheels and being powdercoated I was scared of them chipping them but there was no problem. I have heard good things about Greff as well and Lindsey Automotive in Kenner.

 

How much did they run you?

 

I brought in just wheels with my own unmounted tires and it was about $25 each for mount and balance.

 

The tire kingdom on veterans?

 

I had mine done on the northshore. I have heard good things out Delta World tire on Veterans though.

Max, I used Tire Kingdom in Covington , mainly because they were on the way to my kids soccer game. I am experiencing a little vibration though, and may bring them to Munich to get roadforce balanced. They charged me about $100 w/ tax to mount and balance wheels off the car. My sizes were 295/30/19 and 255/35/19. They did treat my wheels with care though at TK but I wand to have them rebalanced for my own piece of mind. My tires were $2k from Tirerack and they should be smooth at 80.

 

I'm friends with the owner of Autoville and they have handled putting wheels on a few of my cars. They take their time and even spent 4 hours on my buddies Escalade making sure TPMS would still work with aftermarket wheels. I would recommend me.

 

I use autoville for absolutely everything... I'm talking boat trailers, four-wheelers, cars, maintenance, suspension work, window regulators, everything- but the guys scared me with that mercerdes we had when they exclaimed how much squeezing it would take for those 25 series tires to fit on the rim.

In there defense though, they did it with flying colors (and stayed late on a friday to make sure I had them for the weekend) and I will probably be using them for the new wheels and tires too, just wanted to get another mandeville option for finished wheels.

 

where is autoville? my tire has been back ordered so long but the thing finally came today. still undecided about where i should have it mounted.
