Relocating to Charlotte--indie mechanics?

Hey all,

I'm making the move in a few weeks from FL to Charlotte, NC (yep, another Half-Back coming your way )

I was wondering if anyone here had any recommendations for a good independent mechanic to take care of my beloved 996tt??? How is the dealership in the area? I'd imagine the indie is better...

Thanks for the suggestions, looking forward to sharing some mountain roads with my "girl"
