Hey Josh, we are going to use the same e approach mandeville Starbucks but have a new scenic route to get there that I'll get make sure Jon can post for us. I'll ask him how long he thinks it will take
The drive should take only about half an hour for the Northshore peeps, if that.
I talked to the owner of the Brew Pub, we have a reservation secured for a big group and the big back room like we did last year. Parking is somewhat limited in town. It's good if we can keep more cars together. In case we arrive at different times, here are some suggested parking areas to keep smaller groups of cars together and options circled in order of probably what will be open/most visibility. The one circled in green I think is an option as well, the owner said she would keep the driveway open for our group and I think that's what she meant.

IN option 1, parking is actually about half that size. 2 is very small and isn't gonna happen. 3 is not bad, the little coffee shop is closed but on the street side of the building is really close to the road. 4th option isn't bad. To me the best option isn't on the map. There is a parking lot nestled between the school and park up by the arrow in the top left hand corner of the map by where it says "Town of Abita Springs Museum" Nobody ever parks here when school is out unless there is an event at the park or trailhead.
. Most of the areas you have mapped out are much smaller in real life than they look on the map.

Thanks for the input. These are of course just suggested sites. Last year by the time we had got to Abita Springs there weren't many spots so everyone had to just grab what was open and a lot of us got separated. What would be ideal to keep everyone together would be the softball field where they have the bike show, not sure what would be involved with getting permission from the city or what though or if this would even be worth doing.
Parking may be a non-issue on a Sunday but you never know. Just trying to map out areas where smaller groups of 5-10 cars could stick together. I'm sure no one wants to get a door dinged if they can help it. I park way the fudge away from people when we go to the store.
