If you go to Park Place .... ONLY ... I repeat, ONLY ... demand that Danny K. works on your car ... A close friend and technician of the year like 4 years running.

annnnnnddddddd we're not done. when they replaced the switch they broke the clips to the panel that the switch sit in. and they don't have another panel in stock sooooo YET AGAIN next Saturday I have to go back in and have then work on it. Seriously, all this for a broken sunroof clip. They have not caused THREE more problems than the initial $8 broken clip

Thank goodness Buffett is today because I need an excuse to drink.

The car hops are nice, polite, and gracious.

I had a lunch appt with a friend having his car serviced there Sat, so I met up with him there because the service took longer than expected. He and I both ended up sweaty because the dealer didn't have time to finish the job they started...but then again, the car ended up spotless!

Granted, they were busy that day, but without going into too much detail, the only people that looked you in the eye were the guys washing the cars in the service bay, and the guys delivering cars to customers.

Not to mention that the liaisons walking customers around the lot were horrified when I pulled in in my lowly "Mazda."

There were 3 or 4 [2 of which were visibly modded] Vettes at PPP on saturday, a couple for sale. I wonder what they're trading in for?

New GT2 on the lot was sick.

So I guess I am not the only one that gets that vibe from them. I had the panel put in on Saturday because I called and the part came in on Friday. Today Kevin - the "Service" Advisor - called me and told me it was in. I promptly called him back and asked him to check inventory. Sarcasm was NOT noted.

Yeah, I guess I'm comparing them to Classic BMW and Town North Mazda, pretty fairly.

The same friend and I went to test drive the new M3 when they had a demo at Classic 2 weekends ago, and we waited for an hour because the guy we had our appt. with sold a car with his previous appt, and was working that through. He and I definitely understood, business is business, and I would expect anyone I worked with to be patient with me in a similar situation. Although we did wait for literally an hour, the 2 front desk girls were more than accommodating, and when we approached them an hour later, they set us up with someone else whose job had nothing to do with sales, he didn't even have a business card, but he went out of his way to make sure we were happy. After test driving the M3 [which was quite dissatisfying, unfortunately], he took us through the shop and showed us a couple of race cars, and a couple of pretty spiffy customer cars. He also took interest in our cars.

I guess I just appreciate when someone, with absolutely nothing to gain from helping us, spent so much time trying to make us happy.

If only the Fidelity @ Preston and NWHWY had that mantra, I almost torched the place yesterday I was so seething mad.
