More "Good Stuff" From Park Place
I don't have all the time in the world to search peoples post or write something like War and Peace so let me bulletpoint the above
1) The pictures I had taken 3 days prior to the incident prove otherwise. The ink was NOT the same. It's also not the first time PP has damaged a car they have had in for service (Again, see the link I edited in my post)
2) I'm not the only one with the opinion PP have a bad attitude. And they couldn't figure out how to open my sunroof so you tell me
3) The generously offered to figure out how to open my sunroof for 4 hours of labor which would be $600. RUF could do it cheaper. And when I got there I used my own index finger to open the sunroof. I can still open the sunroof - if you don't believe me the car is in downtown and I'll show you. It's really simple - my finger hits the button and it opens. I'm not too sure how that was too complicated for your service department
4) I was there at 3:30. No Kevin, No Chuck. Who do I go to next. And yes, people need to know what they are getting into when they go to Park Place. And what I said was that I go to MSR and Eagles Canyon and post online and if people ask I will GLADLY tell them how poor Park Place it. Not a threat my friend, that's the truth.
5) People can disagree with what I say like 993997 or you can have two pages of posts that Park Place does indeed suck like we had. People just have not had a positive experience with you guys. It's not just me. It's not like I am sigma here. Clearly.
If you saying Park Place has lost money with me I'd be surprised. Did you count my new key fob at $265? Or my key chains? Or the Porsche shirts I have purchased there? Or the in dash cubbie? Or the gifts for a the wedding party?? I don't think you know the full story on all my purchases there. BUT you're right. I vote with my dollars and instead of driving the 12 min to Park Place will drive 25 to Boardwalk or RUF.
Additionally, it's hard to be fair and balanced when your paycheck comes from Park Place don't you think?

Wow.....Quite a story. MCM - I hope that PPP gets your situation resolved to your liking.
I have done LOTS of business with PP on both the MB and P side and never had any issue other than it taking a few extra hours to get my car due to it being detailed at no charge.
PP is a highly decorated dealership and organization. Ken has done a great job of having the right leadership and training for all of his employees. I truly do hope that they get your all fixed up as I am sure they will.

1. You are right, it is not that difficult to press a button to open your sun roof, so we know there is more to it that just pressing a button... yes?
2. The repair they performed to correct your rattle ( the one you paid for ) was checked to be in place and not causing your problem. What's the next step? Your sun roof would not open. There is no reason to not work on your car IF there was a chance that you would spend money for the repairs. Unless you would not approve them to start work. Question: if you had arrived and the sun roof did not open, would you have passed that as being something PPP did to your car as well? ( Now its speculation, I know ) or approved them to diag the problem?
3. Yes, I can be objective, because I am posting as a forum member, not employee. If we messed up, I would say so ( and I have in other instances, other car lines, dealerships, etc )

1) Not really. I press the button and it opens. That's why I was so upset because they told me it was inoperable and as I am going to leave it worked. My fingers aren't magic (well, they might be
) and it's a simple operation so again yes I declined to have them tear down the sunroof at a cost of $600 to me to figure out why they - not me - couldn't operate it.
2) Speculate away
3) You can't be objective when PP is paying your salary. It's a conflict of interest.

Thumbs up for Park Place service; they took excellent care of me the last time I was in and Chuck the service manager is fantastic!!
I am sorry to hear about your service experience, but I personally have only had great experiences at Park Place.
I wish I could admit the same for Boardwalk. SA freaking forgot to book my appointment when I made arrangements with him, tried to charge me for work that should have been covered under warranty on my 07 TT, did not fasted a part down that almost fell off while driving, the list goes on........

I have been sitting back and reading this post with amusement. There are clearly 2 sides to this conversation. I, for one, have trusted Park Place with the purchase of at least 20 Porsche's and they have serviced every single one. I would never dream of buying a Porsche from any dealer in the US besides them. Every person there bends over backwards for any customer that comes in with a positive attitude and a friendly smile. The service I get there is to the point that I feel guilty for how good they treat me. This has happened since the first day I bought the first used Porsche from them. I'm going to have to disagree with this post and will continue to do business with them, and I think there are many guys that feel the same on this forum. There is a reason they are chosen as a Premier dealer accross the US, and I will stand behind em on this one. Over half of the people working there have become personal friends because they have put together a good group of people that "get it" in the service business.

I don't doubt it. Porsche has some strict requirements, and I bet there are qualified people at both dealerships. I have dealt with Jason at PP and get to talk directly with the service guys when they work. Wonderful guys. I think they are just as good, and I have just the car.
Just to throw my $.02 in here......
I can add my voice to those who are very satisfied with ParkPlace and their service. I've purchased two Cayenne's there, an '04 S and an '06 Turbo. My Cayenne Turbo has been, and will continue to be, serviced there. I have also had my 1979 930 serviced there as well as my 1973/1974 track car. If they come up with a 993 Turbo, I'll probably buy it from them. In every instance, the entire staff at ParkPlace has gone way beyond what one would expect from a dealership to insure my experience was positive.
From the tone of your posts (no, I have no intention of "researching" you), it would seem that nothing anyone from ParkPlace can do at this point will suffice. That's unfortunate. Frankly, if you could put the animus down and start anew, I would be surprised if they did not try to make it right in spite of your prior less than willing attitude. If you can't get past this, why not just consider it done and move on? Slamming the dealership in a public forum as you have done without exhausting every available avenue to achieve a mutual solution is just wrong.

You can read through the forums, every business from time to time will have people pissed off for one reason or another. That's why we have choices.
The service team has been nothing but professional, helpful and courteous. Sure they might be more expensive but you get what you pay for. I can't imagine how Park Place could have pissed mcm97 off so badly. Maybe he should exercise his choice and move on.
I am very happy with my new dealer and planning to buy another one.

993, I just hope everyone on this thread gets everything worked out...you (and everyone else) should bring your cars down to Houston in March for the Supra nats....it will be an awesome time and I promise to show you the car scene here, which is incredible.
Hopefully by then we will all be getting along.
