Well took the plunge in an EV, bought a base Taycan with some options. Not going to drive it more than 40 miles of my house so the bigger battery was not a concern.
I put my order in today, mamba green metallic Taycan Cross Turismo (base), ETA end of July (ordered @ Champion in Ft Lauderdale).
After my Panamera GTS and recent 911, I thought it was time to join the world of EVs. Test drive was convincing, I did not feel I needed the extra power of a Turbo S, nor was a Turbo S in my budget.... First time I buy a new Porsche.

This is a around the town car only and no way I am going to take it on a long trip having to stop and charge for 20 plus minutes every 150 miles makes it totally impractical, sure hope you kept the 911 or Panamera.

I don't think the Taycan would ever leave Broward county! The Taycan s indeed for local driving only, we have a bunch of other cars in the household for anything further.

I am a prior Tesla owner and now Taycan. I take road trips and it's not as big a deal as some think. You don't stop for 10-15 minutes to fuel up your car? Just imagine how fast good EV will charge in a few years. Porsche is already doing exceptionally well with the 800V system.
It's similar to trying to take a road trip 80 years ago compared to today. As the tech improves - things get more convenient.
